UK Construction Orders Increase

Thursday, UK's Office for National Statistics said in a report that the construction orders increased 18% in the three months to June compared to the previous three months.

During the period, private housing orders climbed 25%, while public housing and housing association orders rose 20%. Infrastructure orders were up 4%.

Year-on-year, construction orders dropped 21% in the three months to June.

At the same time, the private housing orders fell 33%, while public and housing association housing orders dropped 19 %. However, infrastructure orders increased 27%.
