House prices in England and Wales in June rose for the first time since January 2008 on a monthly basis, latest figures from Land Registry showed Tuesday.
House prices rose 0.1% month-on-month in June, but dropped 14% annually, taking the average house price to GBP 153,046.
London experienced the greatest monthly rise with a movement of 2%, the Land Registry said.
At the same time, all regions in England and Wales experienced a decrease in their average property values over the last 12 months.
