Friday, the Statistics Lithuania announced that industrial production dropped 13.2% year-on-year in August, compared with a revised 15.6% fall in the previous month. Working day adjusted, industrial output fell 14.4%.
Manufacturing output declined an unadjusted 13.2% annually in August, while mining and quarrying production dipped 45.7%. Production of electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning fell 21.3%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell 2%, and after seasonal adjustments dropped 4.2% in August.
In the January to August period, industrial output was down 16.5% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
