Thursday, Latvia's Central Statistical Bureau announced that the industrial production decreased 17.7% year-on-year in July, compared with a 18.5% fall in the previous month.
Manufacturing production dropped 18.8% annually in July, while mining and quarrying output declined 2.1%. Production of electricity and supply slipped 13%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production decreased 1.4% in July, in contrast to the 1.4% increase in the previous month. At the same time, manufacturing production dropped 0.6%.
For the January to July period, industrial production dipped 20.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
