Tuesday, the National Bank of Poland announced that the core consumer price index or CPI increased 2.9% year-on-year in August, unchanged from the previous month. The core inflation came in line with economists' expectations.
On a monthly basis, the core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices showed a flat reading in August, after rising 0.4% in July.
The consumer price index or CPI increased 3.7% on an annual basis in August, faster than the 3.6% growth in the preceding month. Month-on-month, the CPI dropped 0.4% in August.
