Denmark Jobless Rate Rises Further

Thursday, the Statistics Denmark announced that the seasonally adjusted jobless rate stood at 3.8% in June, up from 3.5% in the previous month.

On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate was 3.3% in June, compared to the 1.5% in a year ago.

The unemployment rate was its highest level since August 2006, the statistical office said.

In June, there were 105,100 unemployed persons, up from 97,000 in the preceding month.
