Monday, a report by the Czech Statistical Office said both consumer and business confidence indicators declined in October, which in turn brought down the composite indicator.
The consumer confidence indicator dropped 1.3 points to 87.7 in October from 89 last month. A year earlier, the indicator stood at 87.4.Moreover, the business confidence indicator decreased to 78.6 from 79 in the previous month and was also lower than 92.3 seen last year.
During the month, the confidence indicator for industry dropped to 77.6 from 80.4, and for construction fell to 68.2 from 68.7. The confidence indicator on trade slipped to 80.2 from 82.4. However, the services confidence indicator rose to 80.7 from 78.2.
Meanwhile, the composite indicator, which involves both consumer and business confidence indicators, decreased to 80.2 from 80.7 in September.
