Friday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the consumer price index or CPI dropped 1.2% year-on-year in September, compared to the 1% fall in the previous month. A year ago, consumer price inflation was 5.3%.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices fell 2.87% on an annual basis in September, while clothing and footwear prices dropped 5.78%. Transport charges were down 7.44%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI climbed 1% in September.
For the January to September period, the CPI increased 0.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
