Poland Q2 Current Account Deficit Widens

Wednesday, the National Bank of Poland said in a report that the current account deficit stood at EUR 845 million in the second quarter, widening from EUR 30 million deficit in the previous quarter. The current account deficit was EUR 5.06 billion a year ago.

The capital account surplus narrowed to EUR 696 million from EUR 1.87 billion in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, the financial account surplus stood at EUR 5.79 billion in the second quarter, up from EUR 2.76 billion in the previous quarter.
