Denmark Retail Sales Decrease For Third Straight Month

Monday, the Statistics Denmark announced that the retail sales volume declined a seasonally adjusted 0.7% month-on-month in June, after falling 0.2% in May. This was the third consecutive month of decline in retail sales.

Retail sales for food and groceries declined 0.4% in June, unchanged from the previous month, while retail sales for clothing increased to 1.7% from 0.7% in May.

Year-on-year, retail sales dropped 4% in June, compared with a 7% fall in May, revised from 7.1% decline reported initially.
