Hungary Jan.-May Trade Surplus Widens

Thursday, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said in a final report that the trade surplus stood at EUR 1.53 billion in the January to May period, up from EUR 301 million surplus recorded in a year ago. The trade surplus in May was unrevised from the preliminary report.

During the period, the total exports volume dropped 21% annually, while imports volume was down 26%.
