Friday, Statistics Austria reported that the production index for industries and construction declined 1.5% month-on-month in May.
The index for industrial production declined 0.4% in May, while that for construction output slid 4.7%.
Compared to the same month last year, the overall production index dropped 13.5% on a working-day adjusted basis in May. A 15.5% slump was recorded for industrial production and construction output was down 4.9%.
