Serbia Oct. Jobless Rate Rises

Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced that the jobless rate stood at 16.6% in October, up from 14% recorded a year ago.

The jobless rate for men was 15.3% in October , while jobless rate for women was 18.4%. At the same time, employment rate dropped to 40.8% from 44.2% a year earlier.

In April, the jobless rate stood at 20.6%, slower than the 23.6% seen last year.
