The Bank of Greece said on Friday that the nation's current account deficit amounted to EUR 2.81 billion in November, down from EUR 3.44 billion a year ago.
This was mainly due to an improvement in the goods balance, with a deficit of EUR 2.41 billion registered in November, down from EUR 3.06 billion last year. Also, the deficit in the income account fell to EUR 644 million from EUR 837.2 million, while that in the current transfers account shrank to EUR 64.7 million from EUR 87.3 million.
Meanwhile, the surplus in the financial account increased to EUR 2.68 billion from EUR 2.22 billion.
