Singapore is scheduled to release December numbers for its consumer price index on Monday, headlining a light day for Asia-Pacific economic news. Analysts are expecting the inflation rate to climb to 0.7 percent on year after easing an annual 0.2 percent in November.
Australia is set to announce producer price index figures for the fourth quarter of 2009. Forecasts call for an increase of 0.1 percent on quarter, the same as in the previous three months. On an annual basis, PPI is tipped to shed 0.9 percent after adding 0.2 percent in the third quarter.
Taiwan will provide industrial output data for December. Forecasts call for an annual increase of 40.9 percent after the 31.46 percent spike on year in the previous month.
