Thursday, the Statistics Portugal announced that the seasonally adjusted retail sales decreased 2.6% year-on-year in November, faster than the 1.1% decline in the previous month, revised from 0.6% drop estimated initially.
On a monthly basis, retail sales declined 1.1% in November, in contrast to a 1.3% growth in the previous month.
In November, employment and the number of hours worked adjusted for working days decreased by 2% and 3%, respectively.
Meanwhile, wages and salaries increased 6.8% on an annual basis in November.
