Japan All Industry Activity Rises Further In August

Japan's all industry activity index rose 0.9% on a monthly basis in August, faster than an upwardly revised growth of 0.8% in July, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Thursday. Economists expected a 0.4% rise.

Year-on-year, the index dropped 6.4% in August, but slower than a 8.1% fall in the previous month.
