The value of credit extended to private sector recipients in Australia increased 0.1 percent in November compared to October, the Reserve Bank of Australia reported Thursday.
Compared to one year earlier, credit was up 0.8 percent.

The RBA said credit to the housing sector increased 0.7 percent on month for November and 8.1 percent from a year earlier. Growth in lending was noted for both owner-occupied and investment housing.
Personal sector credit was up 0.3 percent for the month and down 1.9 percent from one year earlier.
Business sector credit was down 1.0 percent on month and down 8.2 percent on year.
The RBA also said the "other personal credit" category increased 0.3 percent on month, following a 0.5 percent increase the month before. For the full year to November, other personal credit declined 1.9 percent.
