Portugal Producer Price Inflation Rises In January

Thursday, the Statistics Portugal announced that the producer price index or PPI rose 1.5% year-on-year in January, faster than the 0.8% growth in the previous month. A year ago, the PPI was down 1.8%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI increased 1.3% in January, accelerating from 0.2% growth in December.

Meanwhile, producer prices for manufacturing industry rose 1.2% on an annual basis in January and was up 0.7% compared to the preceding month.
