Wednesday, Germany's Federal Statistical Office said in a final report that the seasonally and calendar adjusted gross domestic product or GDP remained unchanged on a sequential basis in the fourth quarter, down from 0.7% growth in the previous quarter. A year ago, the GDP was down 2.4%.
Year-on-year, the GDP dropped 2.4% in the fourth quarter, slower than the 4.8% decline in the preceding quarter.
On an unadjusted basis, the GDP fell 1.7% annually in the fourth quarter, compared to the 4.7% drop in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter GDP was unchanged from the preliminary report published on February 12.
