Taiwan's exports increased 46.9% year-on-year in November to US$20.03 billion, official data showed Thursday. Total imports amounted to US$18.38 billion, up by 56.2% over the same month of last year. Hence, the trade surplus was US$1.65 billion.
Exports to China increased 91.2% to US$8.45 billion and those to the U.S. were up 4% to US$2.26 billion. A total of US$1.28 billion, representing an increase of 7.4% were exported to Japan. Exports to Europe amounted to US$2.31 billion, an increase of 22.5% over the previous year.
