Slovakia Retail Turnover Drops In November

Slovakia's retail trade turnover dropped 9.8% year-on-year to EUR 1.50 billion in November, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic reported on Thursday. This was mainly due to falling sales in stores, stalls or markets, the statistical office said.

Turnover in wholesale trade plunged 22.3% to EUR 1.97 billion, while turnover in sale of sale & repair of motor vehicles & motorcycles decreased 19.1% to EUR 0.31 billion.

On a monthly basis, turnover dropped 0.7% in retail trade. In the first eleven months of the year, retail turnover fell 10.4% to EUR 15.71 billion.
