Monday, Indonesia's president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono reportedly said the economy is expected to grow at an annual average pace of 6.6% in next five years.
Southeast Asia's largest economy expanded at a pace of 4.2% annually in the third quarter compared to 4% growth in the second quarter. The country's central bank expects the domestic economy to expand 4.3% this year and 5.5% next year. Annual GDP growth in the fourth quarter is expected to be better than the third quarter's performance.
The president said the country's poverty rate would be reduced to between 8% and 10% by 2014 and unemployment would be cut to between 5% to 6%.
