China's President: Will Continue Macroeconomic Policy In 2010

Thursday, China's President Hu Jintao said the country will continue its current macroeconomic monetary policy stance in 2010.

Addressing the nation through the state radio on the eve of New Year, Hu said China will continue its active fiscal policy and moderately loose monetary policy next year. He added that China will improve its policy flexibility in line with the new trends in the economy.

Earlier in the day, the People's Bank of China Governor Zhou Xiaochuan said China will continue its "appropriately loose" monetary policy in 2010.
