Cyprus Registered Unemployment Rises In August

Thursday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the number of registered unemployed stood at a seasonally adjusted 18,462 in August, up from 17,743 nemployed in July.

On an unadjusted basis, the number of registered unemployed totaled 17,788 persons in August, down from 17,989 persons in the previous month. The number of unemployed was 10,801 a year ago.
