Swiss CPI Continues To Fall In August

Switzerland's consumer price index or CPI fell 0.8% year-on-year in August after falling 1.2% in July, the Federal Statistical Office said Friday. Economists had forecast the CPI to decline 0.7%. A year ago, the rate of inflation was 2.9%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI inched up 0.1%, while it was predicted to rise 0.2%.
