Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said the average monthly nominal wage of employees in the economy climbed 2.8% year-on-year in the second quarter. In real terms, wages increased 0.5%.
The highest average monthly nominal wage was in the financial and insurance activities followed by information and communication. The lowest wage was in accommodation and food service activities.
In the first half of the year, the average nominal monthly wage of the employee in the economy increased 3.7%, while the real wages grew 1%.
