Ireland Live Register Total Rises In January

Wednesday, Ireland's Central Statistics Office announced that the seasonally adjusted live register total stood at 434,700 in January, up from 428,900 in the previous month. A year ago, live register total was 324,100.

On an unadjusted basis, live register total amounted to 436,936 in January, larger than the 423,595 in the previous month.

The standardized unemployment rate stood at 12.7% in January, up from 12.5% in the previous month. A year ago, the jobless rate was 9.4%.
