Thursday, Poland's Central Statistical Office announced that the industrial output increased 8.5% year-on-year in January, faster than the 7.4% growth in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 6.5%.
Manufacturing output climbed 10.1% on an annual basis in January, while mining and quarrying output fell 10.1%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production decreased 5.4% in January, same as in the previous month.
