Japan is scheduled to release final September numbers for industrial production on Friday, headlining a modest day for Asian economic news.
According to the preliminary reading, industrial production is tipped to add 1.4 percent on month and fall 18.9 percent on year, with capacity utilization up 2.3 percent - and the final readings are not expected to stray too far from those numbers. Also due is the consumer confidence index for October, with analysts looking for a score of 40.7 - up from 40.5 in September.
Singapore is set to release September figures for retail sales, which are expected to add 0.7 percent on month but fall 5 percent on year. That follows a 5.2 percent annual decline and a 5.2 percent monthly gain in August.
Hong Kong will provide third quarter numbers for gross domestic product. Analysts are expecting GDP to decline 1.5 percent on year following the 3.8 percent annual contraction in the second quarter.
Thailand will announce foreign reserves numbers for the weekending November 6. Forecasts call for an increase of 135 percent on year after the 135.3 percent annual expansion in the previous week.
