Italian Large Company Employment Falls In June

Italian large company employment fell 0.2% month-on-month in June, taking the annual decline to 1.6%, the statistical office Istat said Tuesday.

In the large industrial sector, employment dropped 2.7% annually and fell 0.3% on a monthly basis. Service sector employment declined 1% year-on-year and 0.1% month-on-month.

Large company employment decreased 9.7% in the industrial sector excluding those getting short-time working allowance compared to the previous year. In the services sector, it was down 0.2%.
