Greek Retail Sales Drop At Slower Pace In August

Friday, the General Secretariat of the National Statistical Service of Greece said in a report that the overall retail sales at current prices decreased 3.1% year-on-year in August, compared to the 9.1% fall in the previous month.

In August, retail sales, excluding automotive fuel slipped 3.2% on an annual basis, after falling 7% in July.

At the sane time, turnover in retail trade of food sector increased 0.4 %, while the automotive fuel sector decreased 6.9%.
