The Planning Commission is estimating an economic growth rate of up to 7% in the current fiscal despite monsoon being abnormal, reports PTI, quoting its Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia. He said that a growth between 6.5% to 7% would be a reasonable growth.
Ahluwalia pointed out the revival of the industrial sector, and said that this would impact the economic growth positively. Agricultural output could not progress alongside due to the inadequate monsoon.
