Friday, Kazakhstan's central bank cut its key interest rate, which is the refinancing rate, to 7% per annum from 7.5% as annual inflation slowed in August.

The central bank expects inflation at 9% by the end of this year. The economy is forecast to expand around 2% and the unemployment rate would be not higher than 8%.
