Japanese Eco Watchers Current, Outlook Indices Drop In August

Tuesday, the latest monthly Eco Watchers Survey from the Japanese Cabinet Office showed that the current index fell to 41.7 in August from 42.4 in July. The indicator declined in August after rising for seven straight months.

Meanwhile, the forward-looking index for the economy stood at 44 in August, down from 44.9 in the prior month.
