Wednesday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that the consumer price index or CPI increased 0.5% in November, compared to the 0.2% fall in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 0.4%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.2% in November, after falling 0.2% in October. This was the first monthly inflation since March 2009. Economists expected a flat reading for November.
Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP increased 0.2% on an annual basis, compared to a 0.6% fall in the previous month. . The HICP climbed 0.1% compared to the preceding month.
