Friday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the gross domestic product or GDP dropped 2.5% year-on-year in the third quarter, revised from 2.9% decline reported initially. In the second quarter, the GDP was down 1.5%.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the GDP declined 0.6% sequentially in the third quarter, slower than the 0.8% drop in the previous quarter. The third quarter GDP was revised from 1.4% decline reported initially.
Year-on-year, the GDP decreased a seasoanlly adjusted 2% in third quarter, revised from 2.7% fall reported initially and faster than the 1.3% drop in the preceding quarter.
