Sweden Capacity Utilization Declines In Q2

Tuesday, the Statistics Sweden said in a report that the rate of capacity utilization in the manufacturing and mining industries dropped 0.8 percentage points to 77% sequentially in the second quarter, compared with a 77.8% in the previous quarter. A year earlier, the utilization rate stood at 90.2%.

In the second quarter, the capacity utilization rate in the manufacturing industry declined to 77% from 77.9% in the previous quarter, while it increased to 76% from 75.8% in the mining and quarrying industry.

On an annual basis, capacity utilization declined by 13.2 percentage points in the second quarter.

Among the main industrial groups, capacity utilization in the intermediate goods industry decreased by 1.1 percentage points to 75.4% in the second quarter while utilization in the capital goods industry dropped 1 percentage points to 75.9%.
