Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said the sentiment indicator stood at minus 22 in August, up from minus 23 in July. However, compared to the previous year and the long-term average, the indicator fell by 25 percentage points each.
In August, the confidence indicator in manufacturing increased to minus 26 from minus 28 in July. On an annual basis and the long-term average, the indicator dropped by 17 and 25 percentage points, respectively.
The retail trade confidence indicator increased to minus 11in August from minus 16 in July, while the confidence indicator in construction dropped to minus 57 from minus 51 in July. The service confidence indicator stood at minus 13 in July, unchanged from the previous month.
Meanwhile, the consumer confidence indicator declined 1 percentage point in August compared to the previous month. This was the second consecutive month of decline in consumer confidence. In July, the confidence indicator was down 3 percentage points.
