Swiss Producer And Import Prices Rise In August

Monday, the Federal Statistical Office said Switzerland's producer and import prices edged up 0.1% in August from July. Year-on-year, producer and import prices were down 5.5% in August. Both monthly and annual variations matched economists' expectations.

Producer prices remained flat on a monthly basis in August, while it dropped 3.1% from the prior year. Import prices rose 0.3% month-on-month and dipped 9.9% annually in August.
