Sweden Jobless Rate Climbs In August

Sweden's jobless rate stood at 5.4% in August, up from 5% in July, the Swedish Public Employment Service said on Friday. Economists had expected the rate to be 5.2%.

The number of registered unemployed at the Employment Service totaled 261 000 people in August. The number of registered unemployed increased more for men than for women.
