Spanish Services Turnover Continues Falls Further In October

Spain's services sector turnover decreased 9.8% year-on-year in October, slower than the 10.6% decline in the previous month, the Madrid based National Statistics Institute reported on Friday. After adjusting for calendar effects, services turnover dropped 7.9%.

On an unadjusted basis, turnover slid 9.8% annually in the trade sector, while tourism turnover dropped 5.3%. Turnover in the information services industry and the business services industry declined 9.2% and 10.6%, respectively.

On a monthly basis, services turnover grew 3.1%, much slower than the 14.8% increase in the preceding month.
