Spanish Industrial Output Declines Further In October

Industrial production in Spain declined a calendar adjusted 9.2% year-on-year in October, slower than the 12.7% fall in the previous month, the Madrid based National Statistics Institute reported on Friday.

Production of durable consumer goods slumped 21.5% annually in October, while capital goods output and intermediate goods output fell 12.4% and 11.4%, respectively. Consumer goods output declined 5.3%.

Region-wise, industrial production recorded the steepest decline in Navarra. Decline in output was also steep in the Basque country, the Balearic islands, Aragon, Catalonia and Valencia.
