Italy's consumer price index or CPI including tobacco rose 0.7% year-on-year in November, a preliminary report from Istat showed Monday. It follows 0.3% increase in October. Economists had expected 0.8% rise. On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.1%, slightly less than the 0.2% growth economists predicted.
The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP grew 0.8%, faster than the 0.3% rise in October. Compared to the previous month, the HICP was up 0.1%.
