South Korea's Unemployment Rate Rises In November

South Korea's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 3.5% in November from 3.4% in the previous month, the National Statistical Office reported on Wednesday.

The number of unemployed rose to 862,000 in November from 833,000 in the preceding month. At the same time, the number of employed persons decreased slightly to 23.58 million from 23.60 million.

On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate nudged up to 3.3% in November from 3.2% in the prior month.
