Wednesday, a report by Romania's National Institute of Statistics said exports dropped 14.5% year-on-year in July to EUR2.77 billion. Imports fell 37.4% to EUR3.26 billion.
The trade deficit stood at EUR 0.5 billion in July, narrowing from a deficit of EUR 0.7 billion in June.
Month-on-month, exports rose 9.3%, while imports were up 1.2%.
In the first seven months of the year, exports fell 19.4%, and imports declined 36.6% compared to last year.
