New Zealand Credit Card Spending Flat In November

Total credit card spending in New Zealand fell a seasonally adjusted 0.1% month-on-month in November compared to the 0.1% increase in the previous month, Statistics New Zealand reported on Wednesday.

Credit card spending in the retail sector increased 0.7% in November. Excluding the motor vehicle-related industries, retail credit card spending was up 0.3%. By industry group, the largest spending increases were recorded in automotive fuel retailing, apparel, and services industries, the statistical agency said.
