Hungarian Trade Surplus Declines In October

Hungary's trade balance showed a surplus of EUR 464.1 million in October, down from EUR 477.1 million in September, a report from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office showed Wednesday. However, the surplus stood above the expected EUR 309 million.

Exports fell 11.8% annually to EUR 5.7 billion and imports declined 20.7% to EUR 5.24 billion in October.

During January to October, exports decreased around 22% and imports slipped nearly 28%. The trade balance showed a surplus EUR 3.77 billion.
