Macau Visitor Arrivals Rise In October

Total visitor arrivals to Macau increased 5.2% year-on-year to 1.95 million in October, the Statistics and Census Service reported on Tuesday.

Analyzed by place of residence, visitors from mainland China - accounting for more that 54% of all visitor arrivals - surged 18.2% annually to 1.05 million. On the other hand, visitors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia all decreased in October, the statistical office said.

In the first ten months of the year, visitor arrivals slumped 7.1% year-on-year to 17.83 million.
