Consumer prices in Macau dropped 1.1% year-on-year in October, the Statistics and Census Service reported on Tuesday.
The price index of education plunged 19% annually in October, while falling prices of LPG, lower rentals for housing and reduced charges for mobile phone services drove the price indices of housing & fuels and communication down by 3.5% and 2%, respectively.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.3% in October. In the first ten months of the year, the consumer price index grew 1.4% from a year ago.
